How a Silk Scarf Is Made in England
Macclesfield has printed silk since 1743. Two miles outside town, at a mill that draws water from its own reservoir, our Marettimo bandana is printed by hand, one screen and one colour at a time. Follow it from a gouache painting on a Hastings studio table to a finished square of silk twill, hemmed by hand.
